About one third of side b is covered with a label bearing this hand-written text: Fragment d'une tablette de l'Ile de Pâques Souvenir de Msgr d'Axiéri reçu en 1892 (Fragment of an Easter Island Tablet, Memento from Monsignor d'Axiéri received in 1892).      Monsignor d'Axiéri was the Bishop of Tahiti, better know as Tepano Jaussen.
