- The contents of rongorongo.org were found to be out of synch with their mirror on the local hard disk, and the whole of rongorongo.org had to be downloaded for checking. Broken links were repaired. Many orphan files were found, and deleted.
- The dictionary had invalid anchors which had to be repaired. In some later pages clicking on each entry (underlined) would take you to the top of the page, but in other pages, produced earlier, you had to scroll up manually. On all pages now clicking on the underlined entry will take you to the top.
- Two words have been added, one very obvious, toru "three", the other frequently found in the legends, kope "lad, lass".

- 2004/12/29. The existence of parallel texts, that is, hieroglyphic texts occurring on several tablets in slightly different "spellings" was discovered by Boris Grigorevich Kudrjavtsev more than 50 years ago. His report, entitled ðÉÓØÍÅÎÎÏÓÔØ ÏÓÔÒÏ×Á ðÁÓÈÉ (The Writing of Easter Island), and published posthumously in 1949 in Soviet Anthropology, is reproduced here in the original Russian. The article, provided by Konstantin I. Pozdniakov, was OCR'ed using Universal OCR 98 (ReadIris). Proofreading and corrections by Paul Horley, a physicist of Chernivsi National University, Ukraine.

- 2002/03/19 to 2002/10/13. - 2002/03/13. In the light of the broken links discovered by examining the web logs yesterday 2002/03/12, rongorongo.org was checked using Xenu's Link Sleuth. Xenu's Link Sleuth found rongorongo.org to contain 2874 URLSs, of which 802 were jpeg images, 1265 were gif images, and 18 were zip files. Of its 2914 different links, 2898 (i.e. 99.45%) returned valid URLs. But 16 erroneous links must be repaired before any more additions are made to rongorongo.org.
- 2002/03/12. On the pages with direct links to the 26 rongorongo objects the links contained uppercase letters which should have been lowercase, e.g. <a href="B.html"> instead of <a href="b.html">. Likewise some pages with links to gifs of Barthel's tracings had those links all in uppercase, e.g. PR0501.GIF. This caused case-sensitive browsers to return an error. These pages have been corrected. The HTML code is tested using Netscape 3.0 and Opera 5.02, which did not reveal these broken links. It is only recently that rongorongo.org is receiving web logs, and it is the examination of those logs which revealed these errors.

- 2002/03/04. This new presentation of signs 001 to 099 lets you right-click on any sign and download it to your disk. The signs have been re-scanned as black-and-white photographs. The result is more pleasing to the eye

- 2002/02/10. This site now contains about as many URLs as there are statues on Easter Island (close to a thousand). Some URLs are buried so deep that they are needles in a haystack, and only blind luck will take you there. For instance, N.M. Billimoria's 1939 zany theories and decipherments of the rongorongo. Accordingly, the home page needed some redesigning.
